No save is not a failed save. It follows that this screws up instakill. Thoughts?

GW is systematicly deconstructing the 40K Rules.

That's only for the UKGT though.

Would that mean warriors get fleet??? Maybe taking away the instant death but giving back fleet isn't so bad.

Magine, check the Nids Codex page 33. It specifically states that Nids with leaping do not become beasts.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

This FAQ is for the UKGT and is written by Brian Anderson, whoever that is.

These rulings are only binding in UKGTs. This is a terrible FAQ and opens way more issues than it solves.

I'd suggest ignoring it entirely unless you're attending the UKGT.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

Somewhere in south-central England.

"No save is not a failed save" shafts Tau shield drones. Again. They got shafted by the release of 4th edition and only got fixed by the Tau Empire release.

Luckily anyone not playing at the UKGT can ignore these FAQs.

Quite obviously GW are incapable of thinking in a joined-up way with regards to FAQs at the moment.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

They don't talk to one another.
GW is like an egg carton. Each egg has its own little pocket and they never touch. They might break if they touch.

Just ask the CIA.

I have nothing useful to add.

40K rules wise is really a game of interpretation.

Hell the constitution is easier to read than some of the rules on 40K.

also remember different stores, places, GTs, other things have their own little ways of interpreting the rules.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.
