I just can't seem to come up with a good looking color scheme for my DIY Chaos army. They are based around the Alpha Legion, but their color scheme just doesn't fit with the feel of my DIY force. Trying to get a nice, evil Chaos feel with a minimum of advanced brushwork and painting techniques. Any thoughts or ideas?

I've tried using Midnight Blue, but it's incredibly hard to see it against Chaos Black primer. Any thoughts on how to make it more noticeable? Or a better shade of blue?

slowly mix the blue with a white....like 1:0.5/3 w/water/b then start mxing less and less and p*donkey*ing over the previous coats.
it should bring it up higher and more obvious
