Hello all,

I am trying to find something that I can use for a PnP RPG that can be stacked in 1" increments to represent a character flying.  Here's the theory:

We play using the HERO system and everything is based on "inches" for movement and such on the terrain board.  Offtimes a character will have the ability to fly and thus adjust their elevation by 1" increments.  What I would like to find are clear hexagons or circles that are 1" in diameter and 1" thick that can be stacked on top of each other and then have the characters mini placed on top of those.

The key here is that they need to be fairly sturdy, as you can imagine the jenga tower of 20 of these things stacked on top of another.  They don't even have to be clear.  I'm not even sure where to begin to look for such things (if something even exists) and I am open to manufacturing my own if suggestions can be given for materials to be used.

How about a wooden rod with 1" incremenents, and a loop or something around the mini so you can slide it up and down the rod?

Dunno if this helps but I heard of a flying game where they used retractable antenas like from a car or an old set of rabbit ears.

Neat suggestions...I also got an interesting one from the HERO Games forums for this company: http://www.aleatools.com/
