They are the remains of a Skitarii force that was assigned to a rogue Xenarite techpriest. He discovered something about human Artificial Intelligence and the Men of Iron that terrified him, and his research ultimately led him to the Tau because of their reliance on drone technology. His fear and paranoia of certain types of human technology are why his skitarii have fewer implants than normal, and very few that interface directly with their brains. |
