Is the Apothecary with the spear a counts as vulkan? Also why the chaos termy head on the guy in the front? They do look awesome |

It isn't an apothecary, it is a mash up of Grey Knight NFW arm, SM Captain Box, and the Apothecary arm with a Flamer attached. But yes, it is my Vulkan. I had my Salamander army built, painted, and ready to go before the 5th ed codex even dropped and GW didn't release a Vulkan model for ages so building one from scratch was the only option for those of us who started playing Salamanders from day one. I actually don't like the GW model very much so I continue to use mine. |

I used a lot of Chaos, BT, BA, DA, SW bits in the army. It adds flavor to the otherwise "vanilla" look of marines. I like the horned termie helmet and chaos bits seem to be more "artificed" which fits with the Salamanders fluff. |
