Image Description: Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Tank. Had some fun with this one. It is all free hand painted. I liked the thorns with the thorns themselves looking like they were bleeding. All creepy, but subtle. I like to make the tanks look like they have seen a battle or two, so a few light washes and some dirt trails were needed. Inside panels are completely painted and feature even murals on the inside tank walls. Lot of detail work here, but I still wanted to keep this one a bit simplistic. Hope you all enjoy! ;)

TungstenMonkey Painting 8/10, Coolness 9/10 @ 2010-05-27 14:26:59 Sorry to correct ya but they are exhaust vents so the soots in right place :) .. whether you paint it that way is personal preferance...av a gander at the blood angels rhino on GW website they have examples of soot or no soot... but Good work on the free hand!
liketoshop247 2010-05-27 16:34:54 I liked the soot where it is vs the top only because it doesn't distract from the top of the design. And yes...mostly personal preference. I think next time though I may airbrush it on,...my brushes seem to not enjoy drybrushing as well as I would have liked, lol. Thanks all!
