I finished my 8th Encounter last night and was up against some vigilantes. I decided they were the men of a town that'd turned to vigilantism out of desperation due to the instability of the world to protect their people. But they eventually went extreme and began attacking other towns and stealing supplies, as well as killing anyone who got anywhere near their town who wasn't one of theirs. So Attelus and his team were hired by the local government to take them down, and it was an utter curb stomping on the heads of the vigilantes (although, I did use a Story Point to re-roll a hit on Attelus which turned out very much worth it). There were 7 against my 6, but that extra dude made no difference; he was just another target, lol. I'm now using both the instability rules from the Freelancer's Handbook and the Faction rules from the Fixer's Guidebook. I really like the additions so far; definitely adds more interesting nuance to the campaign. Just gotta get used to the new rules additions now! |
