An example of my Grim-Dark Space Wolves. I really like them to feel like they're a unit that's been fighting for days. The model is primed black. The armor is 2 coats of Codex Grey followed by a light Badab Black wash. I use 2 coats of Tallarn Flesh on the face, 1 coat of Iyanden Darksun for the yellows and 1 coat of Mechrite Red for the reds. The bronze details are dwarf bronze and the silver is Mithril Silver. The skull is bleached bone. The fur and hair start out Astronomican Grey followed by a Devlan mud wash and then drybrushed white. Then everything gets a healthy coat of Devlan mud to get the grimy, dirty look. |
