Nice effort. Note, however, that the blue field of the American flag should always be in the upper left for the people facing it when it is hung vertically. |

Ah but these aren't American flags, I only count 11 stripes. |

goldlinkdawg, you can disagree all you want, but what I've stated is factually correct like 2+2=4. There are specific guidelines set down long ago about how to hang the flag, the blue field goes in the upper left. Look it up. Here's the relevant section: "When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left."
That said, the models look great. |

Ah so you're part of the UK Taliban Sect too are you? Let's grab a drink after our next meeting, set the town ablaze...
In all seriousness, great models, I'd often wondered how they'd look if done with real world flags and the results speak for themselves |

BrassScorpion is right, the only time you display the flag with the blue in the upper right is when it's on the right sleeve of your uniform, so that the flag gives the appearance of flying to the back of the user.
Lazy UK people just like having a symetical flag, so you can't tell when they're flying it backwards, or upside down. |

Oi! Yankee; "The broader (wider) diagonal white stripe should be at the top on the side of the flag nearest the flagpole." There is a proper way to fly the Union Jack. But why you you be concerned with any flag othwer than yours? Some americans have an awesome blend of arrogance and ignoace. Hopefully you know why calling UK people lazy pisses of Canadains.

Bounty, why did you even have to mention the Union Jack, it holds no relevance to the awesome models above. Besides, so very many countries have symmetrical flags, such as Germany or Russia, so why mention only Britain, especially in an unnecessarily derogatory way. |

just to point out it's not called the Unioon jack, it is the Union Flag, a Jack is a flag that is flown on a ship. Inkybones is right about the Upsidedown bit though.
And who really cares, the models look excellent, who cares if a flag is the wrong way round? maybe American have changed their flag hanging laws in 40'000 years? |

I'll be damned, I've been drawing the bloody thing wrong for 20 years. Teach me to pay more attention. UK was selected for the two UK references preceeding me, and other I've no clue why that phrase might piss off Canadians, though I do understand Vaguely how they're part of the Empire (or however you call it). Finally, can I blame the Irish for my gaffe, as it's thier cross that's off-center? ;o) |
