Shitallmighty dude, you just entered a new level of painting.
The only drawback I see is that you didnt use another FW dread like the ultra ven dread and resculpted it to a mantis dread but such complaints are really no complaints at all, just nagging for the sake of nagging.

Thanks Pyriel-! The problem with all of those dreads (beautiful as they are) is that they have all this complex iconography embedded in the model, making them very difficult to use for any other chapter. Were I designing these models, I would make one master before the chapter specific iconography had been added, so that I could sell them to a much wider audience... then finish it up for whatever chapter it was originally intended for. |

Ultimately both... but all the beakie and early stuff (including this dread) are intended to be pre-Badab. The post-Badab army is actually a post-crusade army and will have a very different look, though there will be some elements in common. |
