Image Description: Battle suit in my latest attempt at a tau colour scheme.
I think im sticking with this one.
I saw very similar in cities of death, so I used rotting flesh, catachan green, and red gore as my main colours, the highlights where the original colours mixed with bleached bone instead of tinting with white. And used black in the recesses for an extreme contrast from the brighter plating. I also washed a bit into the corners giving a waterstain that I like. Then after some metal paint chips on the corners, i drybrushed the edges of the metal paint chips with white for that undercoat look, then dusted the thing off from the feet up with some browns. Graveyard earth worked the best for that.
For this model I need to modify a base to be tilted back more to compliment the pose. |
