For the curious that wanted to know what I use for my Imperial Guard movement trays, here's the scoop. The trays are simply outlet cover plates from the hardware store. You need the ones that are a full cover (no punchouts or holes). You can just tape over the screw holes and then prime them. My troops are on magnetized bases so they stick to these things well (sometimes too well). The layers of paint and sand help to reduce the strength of the magnet bond to a more tolerable magnitude. |
