 I think he's using a method that basically consists of making casts and then forming select pieces. There's a link to the process somewhere here on this site.. but it was a long while ago that I saw it.
If this is the case, the process is pretty straight-forward and produces really badass results, like we see here. Though the initial chore of making the molds is kind of a hassle. But once made, you can make several highly detailed and elaborate green stuff components in a fairly short time.
Those interested might consider searching dakka for words like casting, or press, or mold, etc.
Excellent work, gecko. They're awesome. You should hurry and paint some up. I'd love to see the finished results. |
