Kilkrazy Painting 4/10, Coolness 4/10 @ 2009-03-26 13:27:58 White Paper and Scrolls, etc. These look nice if you do a basic coat of pale cream, then highlight with a slightly off white.
Edging. You’ve tried to do some hard edge highlighting around the rim of the breastplate and the left shoulder pauldron. You just need to be a bit more careful to get a neat line. Once you’ve got the edge highlight technique down pat, it works really well on figures like SMs and Tau who have hardshell armour. It’s also good on vehicles.
The whacking stick would like nice if you shaded in between the flanges on the yellow head with a darker colour. You could highlight the plaits on the handle with a paler colour.
The scroll on the chest will be improved if you dab in fine dark grey lines for lettering.
Black armour is hard to highlight.
