Phoenix Heavy Fighters were one of the Astartes Legions' most effective aircraft during the Great Crusade. Originally developed by the Mechanicum as an air-to-air fighter, PHF23 aircraft were soon adopted by the Emperor's Children and re-named Phoenix Heavy Fighters, after their Primarch. The III Legion used the Phoenixes as strike aircraft, quickly eliminating priority ground targets. such was the effectiveness of the phoenix in this role other Legions soon created their own squadrons. When the Emperor's Children turned traitor they took most of the craft with them, and the Phoenixes actually formed the base of the Chaos Hell Talon. Because of this treachery, Phoenixes are a valued rarity to the chapters that possess them, as much sacred relics as they are weapons of war. |

My only complaint is that they don't seem to have a view port. How are the pilots supposed to know where they are going? Other than that, a VERY cool conversion.

I would imagine that the pilots power armor and autosenses are connected to the speeder so they see things even clearer than if they were just looking out a window. I wish there was a Tut for these though. Great job on the conversion and the paint is brilliant!
