Gitsplitta 2013-06-23 17:49:54 Original artwork in a WD many years ago. Showed a "Mantis Warrior" in this camo pattern holding a bolter and called it a "Mantis Warrior Sniper in Tranquility Camo" or some such. I just ran with the idea and made them Sternguard which seemed like a natural fit.
