Image Description: My Christmas present ( to myself): a Iwo Jima/ Guns of Navaronne mountain from Toy Soldiers Depot, it's BIG ( note GW figure on left top, comes with gun emplacement, observation bunker, doors etc. Still to be painted. The white thingy on the right is TSD's mine entrance, also awaiting paint. |

I used to ahve one of these when I was kid, LOVED THE THING. IIRC the one Toy Soldiers Depot does have an interior, are you doing one as well? |

It came without interior, so I plan to use plasticard to put in the various floors, plus suitable ladders and so on. |

How will you do the floors? When i looked at it it looked like the interior shape is really irregular and I didn't see any easy way to trace the shape to make floors that fit.
Yes, I gave a lot of thought to buying one. |

The interior is a cow to measure, so I gave up on fitted- to -the -wall floors, and just slid in plasticard sheets ( it has slides built in), and got some plastic i beams as supports between floors, along with offcuts of plastic bridge panels as safety barriers. Paint in progress, watch this space.

So bloody tempting... so tempting... and so cheap too... it's more the storage space that keeps from from getting one. Looking forward to pics. |
