That big cat actually came pre-painted, I just dulled down a bit, added extra shades and weathering. |

Aha... looking good anyway. I'm struggling with a decent german camo myself... Drives me crazy. |

I am doing it rather simple - I am also using GW paints. I start with a yellow primer (yeah, I don't prime white or black) - the Citadel Foundation Iyanden Darksun, then give it a coat of Desert Yellow, followed by a drybrush with Bleached Bone. The stripes are done with Bestial Brown and Snot Green - the idea is try not to cross the stripes, but make a random weblike pattern. It is actually simplier to do on halftracks than tanks. When all's done, I do an Army Painter Dark Tone Quickshade splashes and then Matte Varnish. Sometimes, when I feel it necessary (on the tracks mostly) I do a Devlan Mud wash, but I still add some quickshade there afterwards. |
