Image Description: My new acquisition! Just completed converting a Forge World Ironclad dread into what's to become the 9th Devastator companies Mortis Dreadnought. Haven't figured out a name for him yet but I'll update the gallery when he's complete. As before, I gave him a more open arm stance using parts of heavy flamers and lasguns as machinery/hydraulics in the joints. I cut the ends off the shells in the original frag launchers so they can just be sensors or extra optics (I'm eagerly awaiting the day when an autocannon Mortis counts as AA mount weaponry!). The ammunition feeds are from a zip-up lanyard that I bought at the office supply where I work. I saw them one day and said "that's an ammo belt" and bough a few. Lucky as they're out of stock now, but I'm pretty pleased with the result. Looking forward to finishing this guy. I've tested a prototype of him in battle (I've had just his arms for over a year and fitted them to a friends spare dread) and he is most, most effective.
