Image Description: Custom made Iceworld Terrain Board. 1/2" MDF, 1 1/2" Pink Foam Insulation board, Sand, Glue, Paint. Four 2' x 4' panels, with a canon that met up at the transitions, with filler pieces to make it seamless. All the other hills and terrain are modular pieces, to make each game different. Christmas trees, Eldar style pillars and ruins - too much fun.
The whole project took 1 week and $100 in supplies. One step a day, for a week ... had to let the paint/glue dry, etc. |

I really think it was terrain like this that got me into 40k. This set up to me is ideal and well done. You can clearly move things yet it looks pretty seamless, multiple levels for bottle necks and ambushes, yet still enough space for tanks and big creatures to move through. Terrain like this really makes the game more than a round 1 shooting range, while fat maps are easy to deal with tables like this will allways be number 1 to me. Really well done set up, I wish I could play on this table. |
