Adding flames to the pack is a neat idea and it looks pretty good, but the overall shape of the flame doesn't do it for me, as they're too torch-like- with long, wispy flames. I think a thicker, shorter flame with less red and orange and more blue and white- like the flames produced from a fighter planes ramjets would be more fitting; sort of stubby "olive" shaped flames, as it would take an immensely powerful propulsion unit powered by fancier fuels than dirty burning petrol to allow a SM (just as a RL fighterjet) to fly, and such devices typically produce a very distinct "fire."
That said, the addition of flames, bullet casings, smoke, etc to model is never a bad thing! |
