Image Description: Added another lasgunner. This time using original GW arms. He's the guy with the bayonet attached. Looks more confident holding the weapon than his fellows. Shaved down the pauldrons but didnt do a spectacular job, only showed up in painting. Used liquid greenstuff to fill in the cracks on this guy.
At this point I've started painting the models, primed in white. Mephiston red with cassandora yellow wash to add more vibrancy. The helmets I experimented a bit. I cannot remember the names of the paints, but I did try a Nuln Oil wash on two of them but didn't like it. End result seems interesting. Need to work on highlighting skills.
I was going to go for white harnesses however I liked how the gold stood out on the red without a huge amount of skill needed to get a bright white. In the future I'll try to get a white harnesses to pay homage to history.
