I am making sergeant's stripes for my Cadian veteran sergeants using green stuff casting. Step 2: Put some mold release or brush a good coat of light vegetable oil (I use extra virgin light) all over your green stuff mold. THen use a new thin disc of green stuff and press it into your mold. Use a really thin disc since you don't want your stripes to be too thick. I made mine too thick and had to carefully slice about half of the thickness off with a sharp X-Acto. That's a risky operation but I was able to do it without ruining the stripes or my fingers. |
