i've been looking through your nids folder and i'm really impressed by some of your models; the spore mines especially, and this one. i really like the style of the agonized birthing throe - which includes everything about the entire model. it's got a lot of "energy." To art school this, "it is _dynamic._" But what I'm having trouble with is the muted, blurred colour scheme. if some parts of the model were picked out more, and painted up a little more, i think it would do loads of justice to an otherwise wicked model that truly encapsulates the image of the tyranids.

I've unfortunately not got this conversion anymore - I ran out of space for other conversions/scratch builds and so had to sell it on.
However, I'll be sure to take your painting tips on board next time I make another conversion. The one thing that always pulls them down is my painting skills. :( I much prefer building custom models for people than painting though, and I'm really glad you like it ^_^ |
