Image Description: A picture of my Cadian Cruiser Group with its escort squadrons and swarms of Fury interceptors and Starhawk bombers. I only have one battlecruiser, three cruisers, and seven escort ships. I would like to add more escorts and several Dauntless light cruisers. I also want a few troop transports though I'm not crazy about the models available.
The fighters and bombers are painted but they are mostly white. The canopies are a shade of blue. The models have some red lights and various colors for squadron markings. One of the bomber squadrons is grey colored. I probably should add a few more details and GS the bases so that the alternating circular sockets are covered up. What type of fleet are you collecting?
Space Marines! Painted to match my main 40k army. (I've heard their not a good starting army though) I have 1 battle barg and 12 gladius escorts on their way and 10 Thunderhawks already. GW said they were out of the strike cruisers so I have to go searching for three of those. I've only played about 5 games of BFG but I really enjoyed it and its a great alternative to 40k. And the local crew is cooking up a massive 40k,necro,BFG campaign.
Nice! I like mixing 40K and BFG. I also like 40K skirmish games though I use home brewed rules instead of Necromunda. I guess I should look at Necro's rules for some ideas. In the future, I would also like to try some Epic.
Aren't Space Marines the best army for starting out? I don't know because I play Orks and IG, but I have a SM army slowly getting built.
If you like small scale skirmish games I would check out "Dice like thunder" in their download section they have a homebrew system called firefight thats pretty good. I wish GW still supported their specialist games... Oh well at least all the rules are free now!
