Image Description: This model was a HUGE lesson on one facet of conversion I didn't know could be that powerful: Balance. By shifting the model out from over its base you can create a whole new array of options, especially for things that are not firmly footed on the ground. Flyers are in fact free to move in a whole new way in the game, and balancing the model like that actually helps to show it. |

Quick question : Where do you measure the flame template from if the model is built like this O.o? I mean, your supposed to put it from the mouth, but most of the base would prevent the flame from going anywhere near anything interesting. But mind you, I love how you made this model and I'm sorry of my question if it's a display only model :P.
In any case, good work :) |

Thanks. Look, when I decided to paint this model, I wasn't reaaally considering the gaming aspect of it, and I fully understand that dealing with the base in game, although feasible, would be a hassle. Having said that, I guess I would have to agree with the player that the base doesn't exist, or maybe move the model backwards or even measure it from its sides.... Anyway, I really wouldn't know how to manage it in game to be realistic. It's a very good question, though. I admit I never thought about the template when the paiting hype kicked in! |
