Image Description: To ShasLa Sacea Vior, the only good Tyranid is a dead one. Vior was originally station on the colony of Hten where he served for 2 Taucyr, protecting the Fio research teams studying the planet. But when a small Tyranid Splinter Fleet attacked the colony, Viors world changed. Holding out with the few cadres present on the planet, the Saceans fought a desperate battle to hold back the invaders. Vior earned his name by volunteering for every dangerous mission he could. A distress signal had been sent, but he knew that his world would be destroyed if the Tyranid were not stopped quickly. During a mission to repair a damaged communications system, Vior and his Larua found themselves surrounded by a Tyranid swarm. A sudden attack killed his ShasUi and pushed Vior to command. Ordering his Larua to escape with the Fio, Vior charged the Synapse creatures, firing his rifle as he ran. But just as death seemed imminent, a hail of missile fire wiped out the Tyranid Warriors, throwing the smaller beasts into confusion. A team of Battlesuits landed right next to him as a Manta began to appear overhead. The distress signal had been received and the ARC-16s answered.
Following that miraculous rescue, Vior and the other Saceans followed ShasEl RoYon without hesitation. Bringing with them other Tau cadres, the ARC-16s lead the charge in wiping out the remaining Tyranid. After the planet was deemed sterilized, the Shasartol sent a message to the survivors of the colony. They had a choice: reassignment to another cadre and planet or reassignment to the ARC-16s. Most of the survivors chose reassignment elsewhere. Joining the ARC-16's would mean regularly facing overwhelming odds, hideous monsters and near death experiences each and every battle? Who would want that?
Vior was the first to volunteer.
