A small game (~ 900 points) of WH40K played on 14 July 2013. A foot guard Cadian army faced off against a force of Necrons. Sadly, Commissar Yarrick's blob squad of twenty Cadians was eliminated by massed Necron Warrior gauss flayer fire before the C'tan shard made its nine inch charge at the Commissar. Yarrick survived the first round of combat (during the Necron close combat phase) but fell during the IG close combat phase. It would have been better for him to have fallen during the Necron turn so that the IG could have shot the shard to death in their turn. Making matters even worse, Yarrick failed his roll to stand back up again at the start of the next IG turn. From this point in the battle, the Necrons dominated. |
