 As a very simple technique, using a wash, in a controlled manner, appropriate to the color on every area of the mini could help out a lot.
I'd try using a purple wash on the recessed areas of the red, then re-touching the high spots with blood red, and a brown wash on the recessed areas of the green flesh bits. |

 Agreed. Plus add some more colors to make its clothes (trousers/shirt) stand out from the armour plate... Just try "devlan mudding" the whole model, it could help a lot, nice and simple technique...

 It needs shading by highlighting or washes to bring out the detail in the muscles and clothing.
Nice neat basic paint job. |
