I created Dominus, as a HQ unit, when I found myself reflecting on the lore of Grey Knights and their names that are bestowed upon each one, individually...being intertwined with a specific daemon in return. Dominus' story, my creation, is that he sought out his daemonic opposite and instead of slaying the fiend, he trapped it in battle; severing it's head, but quickly hooking it to life support systems to sustain it - to ensure it would not die and become reborn within the Warp. He then placed the daemon's head, center of mind, upon his own frame as a mantle. Dominus maintains psychic control of the fiend's mind; weaponizing him against his kin. |
