Heh, I do have a buddy that plays Nids, but they're actually Daemon Scratches. My cousin and I intwined the stories for his Undivided CSM/Daemons and my Guard... And I guess with my Girlfriend playing Slaanesh/Khorne CSM & Daemons as well, that makes them dual purpose. |

I know you used green stuff, but how hard was that mask to make? |

Not hard at all. All you need - a good sculpting kit, and a Stanley Knife.
Basically, assuming you've picked a head with a visor/sculpted one on already, just start with a lump in the middle of his face. Using your well lubricated creasing or flattening tool, gently flatten, and pull the greenstuff around the sides until it touches the helmet. Try not to get any on the helmet itself. Using your flattening tools, gently pat (Don't press, just pat) the sides and front flat, pulling more greenstuff to the sides as necessary. Once you're satisfied with the rough shape, submerge in icewater to stiffen the greenstuff Then let it sit for a day. Once dry and solid, you can use the knife to shave off any excess, shape corners, and add grilles to the sides and/or front. |
