Image Description: 54mm Kasrkin sgt with Zenithal primer coat.
Firstly primed with Vallejo black surface primer concentrating around the legs and lower torso sprayed from underneath. Whilst this was still wet, a Vallejo grey surface primer (including a few drops of black to darken the grey slightly) was sprayed from about (model) head level and pointing slightly down. The process was then completed with a light coat of white surface primer from a single point almost directly down at the model's head.
The result is a model which is prmed so that there is more 'light' on the head than the feet. Providing subequent coats of paint are thin enough, this effect will show through the rest of the paintwork. |
