The comms antenna needs two pins to fix it in place. This is the first. Having temporarily fixed this one I will drill the second pinhole from the inside outwards. The pins are carbon fibre rod, Superglued into the fin on one end and into a piece of polystyrene rod on the other. I didn't cement the fin on until late in the build since it gets in the way while you stick everything else together. |
