@Gordy2000: rust = very simple really. I sprayed the model black, while it was still drying I used some Army Painter Brown spraycan & sprayed it on from varying distances. This creates blotches, dots, etc. But beware: it is completely random so the risk exists that it ruins your model (because too much paint, etc). Then I "clean" up some parts, add the white and some random orange patches (GW technical paint, some Vallejo model colour, ...). the key words are: random and some old brushes so you change between stippling, drybrushing, etc. Then wash the entire model with some darkbrown wash (ie: reikland fleshshade + badab black). once dry: add more orange where needed and some metal highlights. just go as far as you want. some patches even received some of this GW technical paint rust effect - but take care: it really ruins your brush. |
