Inexpressibly brilliant: this is Malifaux, strange, mad even, but haunting too, a bizarre city of dream and nightmare.
The painting (so many fine shades and using so very few colours to convey so much, as opposed to colour-by-numbers), the diorama, colours suggested by thin glaze only and so little variation: it is the tiny variations (dare I use the word Blanchean, but this is better) and gradations of colour that make this beautiful work. |
