'Butts up, bellies in! Get to work!' - yelled the head miner, urging his people. People! - they all come from Terra, a planet from an old and faraway solar system of a star named Sol, which is nearly on the opposite side of the Galaxy. They were all war veterans, brawlers, old cunning fellows. They called them The Brown Company, because they weren’t afraid of getting dirty while digging. Someone in the canteen called them Digniters, supposedly because they burrow in the ground, but for some reason the name didn’t stick. |
