Since I built this unit before the current Deathwing Command Squad boxed set came out I had a limited choices of banners, and opted to use the Grey Knights standard, along with a nemesis daemon hammer as they look much cooler than many of the clunkier thunder hammer parts (especially the Cataphractii ones). The banner features liberal use of highlighting and freehand painting of the word Caliban, which is about my limit on freehand painting. Also yes, I'm counting that banner as a Storm Shield because it's so well painted (by my standard) that if anyone damaged it I'd break their back Batman vs Bane style. |
