 I had that exact toy as a kid in the 70s!
It's a cool design but good luck making it look untoylike.
Never knew it was based on a real vehicle. |

 Yep. The XM800W was a six wheeled design though. Lockheed also made a prototype with eight wheels called the XM808 Twister that was based on the XM800W. Both were never accepted for service. Neither was the FMC XM800T tracked version. But there was some component similarities between the XM800T and the concurrent MICV70 program's winner from FMC, the XM723, which became the M2/M3 Bradley. |
