It's Silky forklet moss (Dicranella heteromalla) a pretty common clumpy moss in Ireland.
I pulled a clump off the curb in a shady damp corner of a street where I used to live.
I like the effect for this base but I never found any other use for the stuff. |

Looks like it'd be good in any boggy/arid/savanna areas of a diorama/terrain piece, If you dyed it green it'd make good forest/rainforest plants |
