You're correct. They didn't last long against the Thunderwolf Cavalry. The commissar lasted till the last turn of the battle but he died too.

KK, my friend, Wulfenkin, had that mini and at least one more like it (visible in another picture in this gallery). He's a GW and Space Wolf fanatic but I don't know where he acquired the giant figures from. I'll try to ask him via email. He's not a frequent Dakka user (more of a Bolter and Chainsword guy) so it may take time to get an answer.

KK, those giant Space Wolf figures are Sideshow 54mm Warhammer 40K collectibles. They make or made (I'm not sure if any are still in production) them for all of the major chapters as well as a Tau Fire Warrior. The guy in this picture is Brother Strom. My friend also has Brother Osrik (firing a bolter) and an unknown third mini. |
