Holy cow this piece is awesome! The action, the staging the mini-vignettes that add up to the total scene- I can _feel_ the desperation of the defense! Truly well done. The professionalism of the paint job is only accented by the OSL of the two chainswords clashing into sparks- everything is extremely well painted. And the opposing paint schemes- grey and red- make it so easy to tell 'the players apart without a scorecard'- the whole scene is instantly relatable even though there is a confusion of action everywhere. Again, truly well done! |

Amazing. I gave a 9 instead of 10 though, because there isnt a single black templar getting killed. Im an imperial fan all the way, but seeing how there isnt a loyalist in the middle of getting slaughtered, let alone already dead (scouts dont count), this peice lacks tge intensity of a "last stand" type of diorama. To me it looks like the motivation behind this was fanboyism, due to the (imo) big reason. Really well executed poses and dynamism, but i cant help but feel like those few black templars will have no prolem taking on all those berzerkers.
Still though, good job. Just make sure to actually make the oppenents seem evenly matched next time. |
