Here is the standard bearer with his silk baldric painted. Rope was painted with Golden Yellow, highlighted with a lighter yellow (any would do), painted with a thin wash of burnished gold to give it a silky sheen, then washed with a thinned out Sepia. Now that's left is to add the campaign ribbons. Don't know if it's comes out in the photo, but the silky appearance of the rope really worked. |
