Hey, i know this army is super old but I've been so inspired by it. Can you tell me what individual paints you used and the process to get such a flawless models

I used the Colors: Vallejo Modelcolor Whitegrey (Basecoat) and Vallejo Modelcolor White (Highlights). Vallejo Modelcolor Black and Vallejo Gamecolore Cold Grey (Highlights on the Weapon). For the Pants: Vallejo Gamecolor Ice Blue or Glacier Blue, Vallejo Gamecolor Night Blue and Cold Grey. For the Shoes the Gloves and parts of the Helmet: Vallejo Gamecolor Heavy Charecoal and Vallejo Gamecolor Black Wash. For the Feet and Faces: a Basecoat of Citadel The Fang washed with Vallejo Gamecolor Blue Wash then further painted the Skin with a mix of Citadel The Fang, Citadel Fenrisian Grey, Vallejo Gamecolor Khaki and Cold Grey. Fenrisian Grey for the Highlights further highlighted with thinned down White. |

I just try to be as neat as i can. That process takes maybe more time than usual. I hope that helped. |

thanks so much, i really didn't expect a response seeing as how old these posts are. Is this scheme consistent throughout the entire army? also how do you choose the shape of the camo?
I also saw your hammerhead, how do you get such a smooth finish on it? any tricks?
I'm soooo impressed by your army, you should be very proud :D I hope some day my tau can look as good as yours |

Yeah this scheme is consistent. For the camo, i paint these areas first with ice blue then i randomly add in the grey and dark blue parts. To get the smooth finish i paint in more than one thin layers. Every time i take up some paint i dip my brush a little bit into water. Continue layering until u are satisfied with the result. |

I use Vallejo Modelcolor Flat Red, Vallejo Gamecolore Heavy Red, Vallejo Gamecolore Gory Red and Vallejo Gamecolore Gold Yellow. |

I've had a go at painting basecoat of white today and so far I've found some of my guys have a really shiny finish to them, I used white grey over a corax white spray. Is this the paint or my fault? I'm new to the hobby btw |

The shiny finish will dissapear after u applied your matt varnish. |

Hey, you could use a yellow to highlight. Doesnt matter which one. Mix it with red If needed.
