Image Description:
The Knight Warriors of Fallenberg followed the myth of the Count Reiterberger across the old world, their oaths allowing them nothing less than the head of the fabled warrior. One day they met the count, and each in turn fell beneath his blade. The youngster Orik, who had yet to reach a score of summers, the flamboyant fencer Demarisk, known as a favourite of the ladies of the Southern Court, and finally the old champion Waldman, whose booming laugh would be heard no more amongst the halls of Fallenburg. Each answered and could not refuse the simple question to join the Count within his household guard, for despite their defeat they had impressed him much with their martial fortitude.
Now they ride to battle once more, feeling the fall of foes beneath their blades, and from time to time a fevered half-dream reminds them of the life that once was, but now has been denied to them in undeath. |
