FOR THIS POLL, PLEASE ANSWER HOW YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY THE GAME, NOT NECESSARILY WHAT THE RULES AS WRITTEN (RAW) SAY.

The Vehicle Damage rules for a "Crew Shaken" result on page 67 of the rulebook say: "The vehicle may not shoot next turn. Passengers may not shoot from within the vehicle next turn, but are otherwise unaffected."

The Vehicle Damage rules for a "Crew Stunned" result on page 67 of the rulebook say: "The vehicle may not move or shoot next turn. Passengers may not shoot from within the vehicle next turn, but are otherwise unaffected."

QUESTION: If a vehicle without a WS becomes Shaken/Stunned in its own turn (for example, by driving over a minefield), how do you play this situation?

OPTION A. The vehicle may continue to move and shoot THIS turn, but is unable to shoot (Shaken) or move and shoot (Stunned) in its NEXT turn.

OPTION B. The vehicle is only considered Shaken/Stunned THIS turn: it must stop moving immediately (Stunned only), and may not shoot THIS turn (assuming it hasn't already performed those actions yet). It is free to move and shoot in its NEXT turn.

OPTION C. The vehicle is considered Shaken/Stunned THIS turn and its NEXT turn: it must stop moving immediately (Stunned only), and may not shoot THIS turn (assuming it hasn't already performed those actions yet). It also may not shoot (Shaken) or move and shoot (Stunned) in its NEXT turn as well.

OPTION D. The RAW: The Shaken/Stunned result only applies to the NEXT turn, which happens to be the opponent's turn. This means the vehicle essentially suffers no effect (since most vehicles without a WS cannot move or shoot in the opponent's turn anyway).

OPTION E. Something else entirely: reply exactly what it is below.

I play C although I do agree that D is actually RAW.

I play C, reason being that if it were a more dabilitating hit like weap destroyed or immobil or even destroyed it would happen when the dice is rolled, why should a shaken or stun take place in the next player turn?

... also I guess I will throw in the logic of a crew getting post dramatic stress disorder 5 min after a shot but acting cool while they are getting shot...

I play C. D may be RAW, but my group and I have agreed on C as being more logical.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

This has never come up in any of my games, but I'd probably go for B. C is imo to harsh (losing two shooting turns ?!?!) and D/A don't make sense.

I actally had this come up in a game

I play heavy whirlwinds with mines, and one strat that I use is to peper vehicles with mines so that when they move off they take a hit in the back armor.

We came up to the conclusion of both B,and C. So being in agreement that it was either B or C. I let my opponet pick. My opponet being cocky eldar went with the ruling of C... and failed to resist a shaken result and did not fire for 2 turns.
