A new warcaster I painted up this week to use on Saturday so my opponents can have a break from Sorscha:

nice solid job. congratulations are in order, Very nice.

If you really want some criticisms, you could highlight up higher with the red, and blend just a little better with the grey, but you've done a very good job.

That's exactly the kind of criticism I want, odinsgrandson, thanks! I highlighted the red up to white, but then glazed it more heavily than I had intended to acheive the smoothness I wanted... which ties right in with your second point - I need smoother blending. The harsh photos really show up my shortcomings (sloppiness on his boiler metallics! Ahh!). Less laziness next time!

Hahah! I hope not malfred, or I'm going to start having trouble getting games until I get a proper 500 point army together. Although I hope they'll mind "Butcher walks forward 5 inches and hits you with enormous beatstick" less than "Sorscha windrushes through 1.5inch gap, pops feat, charges and auto-hits your caster 5 times FTW".

Thanks! I hope you're planning on posting pics of your eVlad once he's finished too. With some of those epic casters, their scenic bases look more daunting to paint nicely than the figure itself (ice scares me).
