    YO DAKKA DAKKA!

I don't really understand. Why would the in-game army painter not have ALL of the colours? What 'special weapons' are you talking about, squig?

Should I just google this? Probably.

The armour patterns sound interesting though.

Nah it is ok as it counts as interesting news for a lot of us. I wonder if the 'exclusive' metallic paints mean there are some new metallics coming out soon potentially?

Even if I wanted to buy this game, the whole thing about "Exclusive Army Painter Colours" would really put me off. I mean, why?!

    YO DAKKA DAKKA!

I assume it's just different looking models for single-player, right?
Like, they wouldn't sell people units with different rules that you could use in online play. If you don't have those models or 'colours' on your installation, you wouldn't even see them, so what's the point?
I still completely and utterly fail to understand the point or premise. I understand collector's packs. I understand 3D modelling and skinning. I understand the OSI model... But can anyone actually clarify this for me?

I still haven't looked it up myself...

what frustrates me about this game is you can play campaign as ONLY space marines, and the fact that they shrugged off chaos in exchange for tyranids. But besides that ill still buy it.

This is all just gear for your troops. Your troops will get gear drops (RPG style) when performing actions or killing certain enemies. These deals just give you some different gear at the start which can be removed from your troops as and when you find upgrades in the future.

This sort of stuff makes me want to puke. Get it now for you exclusive content! Just like directors edition special uncut limited DVD-motrons. Why? To milk more money from those who simply cannot wait. Why should people get different versions of the game depending on when they bought it?
