Depends on what you're up against.
As others said in the Tactics thread, against a Mechanized force, you'll have some trouble, but not a huge amount.
I can see this being bogged down against some of the larger horde armies, finding your squads suddenly tied up in combats with cheap fodder while the big nasties are moved up to pound your guys down.

Very mobile overall, with just the Dreadnoughts being slow moving once they're on the board. The one kinda-sorta detraction that I have is simply a lack of being able to hit anything at a range of more than 12", with the exception of the Drop-Pod's Storm Bolter.

I think Furioso have Storm Bolters and Meltas with them which could hit stuff too, I think, but yes, facing off against Horde armies is going to be.... interesting.

Right... will toy about with the list some more to see if I can slot them in somewhere. Still not that much of a fan of Power Fists, but can well see the use of them.

Can also see the use in Lemartes, considering he ends up being same point cost as the normal Chap with Jump Pack anyways and can possibly force more Sweeping Advances.

If you plan to use this army primarily as an assault force then you had better get used to taking a good amount of power fists.

drop the plasma.
too much of a liability when he should be keeping the death company under control.

make sure you take plenty of fists as they will be your tank killers.

if your taking dreads in pods why not take a death company furioso? D3 extra attacks means that it will do damage in CC, and since they are podding then they will get into combat.

dont know why you have 10 vet assaults with nothing, give them a melta atleast to pop tanks, possibly a fist aswell.


might be worth dropping a 10 man assault squad down to 5 men to free up the points for upgrades.

Yup the dreads deff need extra armour, if you can squeeze it in somehow. Since they are in drop pods, I suppose you could risk not using it.

Nothing worse than a stunned dread that couldn't charge.
