Played in 1500 tourney at Gamer's realm this past weekend with the following list. Unfortunately forgot to charge my camera so no pictures.

Game 1 Major Victory vs space wolves. held 2 objectives to 0.
2 character with assault cannon
4 assaultie squads on foot
1 scouts with melta guns
2 Multimelta Attack bikes

1 twin lascannon pred with bolter sponsons
1 auto cannon pred with las cannon sponsons

Set up blob on my objective in cover. Scout moves with Vendettas let me take out his multimelta attack bikes and multimelta speeder, but his preds took out one of my valks. Grey Knights made a dash for objective then helped shoot down a foot squad and sat on the objective all game. Leman Russ Executioner was awesome killing his foot squads till it got killed by his scouts which I killed with the Platoon commands 4 flamers. Failed bring it down on the blob but kept his Preds shaken and took off some weapons but didn't kill either. If I keep the blob at higher points I might put in voxes. The failing bring it down was annoying.

Set up blob in cover and then Inquisitor with 2 Mystics in Valk near it and other vehicles near the Inquisitor with 2 Mystics. He deep struck some things too close so I managed to Psycannon down his min horrors and wipe out his 4 bloodcrushers. He got some lucky 1 shot bolts on valk and chimera so his keeper could assault my grey knights and I didn't have the second valk to help kill his monsterous creatures. Blob was pretty good this game, first rank second rank did a number on the fiends and finished the 2 left in close combat killing 2 plaguebears and holding up against 5 plaguebearers and a daemon prince later. Was a bit nervous about faling the stubborn leadership 9 as I failed bring it down several times last game but I didn't. Exectioner was awesome again doing alot of damage to bloodcrushers and plaguebears. He only had 1 daemon prince, plaguebearers and horrors left but I still lost on kp.

3 Exorcist
1st turn assault trick slagged 2 exorcist but my vets got killed shortly after but it was worth it having killed 2 of his long range anti tank. Poped 2 rhinos one with Valk and other with bring it down blob. Blob couldn't kill the last exorcist in cover but killed the assasin in assault. Remaining Eorcist killed one of my Valks. Executioner was good but had alot of bad scatters so didn't quite wipe out the Rhinoless Sister squads and they had cover from the smoking crater of their Rhino. Finished one squad off with Valkyrie Lascannons because had nothing better to shoot at and was out of range of Exorcist. Ended up with 1 Sister on his objective when the game ended on Turn 5 with my Platoon command near his objective after torching his Inquisitor squad and I my objective and more kill points so Minor Victory.

ended up taking second.

Blob might be worth running again because it seems to hold the objective in cover pretty well and if I don't get first turn and I'm outflanking my Valkyrie Vendettas I really need some ranged anti tank and with bring it down its not bad.

I do really like the 4 flamer PCS. they torched the Inquisitor Squad as well as some scouts. They also torch horde orks really well.

Currently having a big debate whether to go with the blob or go all mech for the next tournament. What do you think?

Sounds interesting. I would like to see 2 vet squads with demo in the list, maybe at the expense of the grey knights... though a first turn assault with grey knights might also be worthwhile... ill have to consider that...

I would rather see the psycannon on the elite inquisitor and incinerators on the PAGK if you keep the PAGK... 30 for the inq psy + 20 for the 2 incins, versus no weapon on the inq and 50 for 2 psycannons. Incins can be devestating, especially as you have first turn charges from the vendettas. Inq can steal the vet's chimera to fire from the top hatch, too--keeping him safer.

Did you find the 4 melta gun command squad useful? like you said, you were missing a vox for your blob, by droping a melta you would have the points for a vox network.

Finally, the grey knights should have frag on the justicar at the least, and a targeter never disapoints either.

Looking forward to a clash between your norse IG and my Halo guard in the future!

I agree with Devian's comments..with the cost of the GK, you can get another vet in a chimera, put PW's on your blobs, and get a SW squad to ride in the vendetta....well worth the trade off...

At 1750 or 1850 I would have two vets with demolitions in the list but I wanted to try some different things out at this tournament.

In my more recent lists I dropped the Grey Knights and just have 1 Psycannon on the Inquisitor with a Sage.

I'm not sure about Grey Knights with Incinerators. The first turn assault with Grey Knights as not nearly as strong as a first turn melta bomb assault on an expensive vehicle with vets with melta bombs since the Grey Knights are pretty expensive points wise, Grey Knights can not kill Land Raiders or other nasty assault units. Incinerators are of no use if you are not close to the enemy so if you don't get first turn they aren't quite as good. WIth Psycannons the Grey Knights can sit back and shoot if you don't get first turn.

The 4 Melta gun command squad is pretty good. Fairly reliable in killing vehicles I really need dead. You can hop out and bring it down if you really need something dead. Not sure if a Vox is worth losing a Melta.

I'm leaning towards dropping the blob. Some tables you just have no cover and then your blob is sunk.

That is pretty lame that Grey Knights don't come with grenades. The Marines in newer codexes do. I'll keep that in mind if I do run Grey Knights again.
