Well not being one to fork out a lot of money and a lover of conversions, I set out on a project (one of many) that would save money and fill my need for titans. I am an avid Imperial player and am in need of a titan. I realize apocalypse allows you to ally and use whatever you got in your collection. However, I like to have a cohesive feel to my army. So I have decided to make a Behemoth class titan. I will use the Warhound titan rules (I dont like making my own up) but will be using the stompa body. Below are the images of my start:

Variant Head

Variant Head 2

Main Body stage 1

Main Body stage 1 rear

Shoulder

Vulcan Mega-Bolter

Top view Double Barrelled Turbo Laser

Bottom view Double Barrelled Turbo Laser

Top view of Plasma Destructor (phalic?)

I was only planning on making one titan, however after purchasing a mondo megabit bag from the war store.com, I was gifted with a complete body for another stompa...no weapons though. The next phase is to armor up the front and sides with plasticard to make it look "sleeker" and a giant aquila across the chest plate. So hit me with your CC's please.

While I get the joke... tis not using xeno parts at all... in all honesty they are going back to using their own tanks and such that were blown to pieces, taken by orks, then thrown back together... not to say that these IG even "looted" the ork stompa (thats ironic... orks being looted...). Thus the reason for fluff, which it appears is just the IG doing what orks do, throwing what they can together... I dont know if thats his fluff but that is indeed what it looks like and I like it! But no way are they using xeno material >.< just shrapnel!

I think it would look pretty cool with a skirted/chainmail pattern down the torso. Maybe some fantasy movement tray bases descending in layers.

im loving it so far. despite previous comments about fluff, if i was to verse this in a game id have no issues with it, it just looks too cool not to have on a tabletop.

and the vulcan mega bolter (?) just looks menacing lol

only issue i have is the stompa body. something has to be down with the whole scrapyard look. the idea of a nice n' big aquila stuck across the front does sound like a good idea though and a step towards making it look more imperial

You could use the door section from the Shrine of the Aquila

considered the shape of the front panel of a stompa (curved) it might be easier to make one out of plastic card.

depends how good you are with plastic card though.

Im going to start tonight with some paper to get a general shape and size necessary. Im thinking of segmented plates that overlap. Larger plates along the bottom and smaller plates near the top and of course the giant aquila across the chest.

As another note, I was thinking about making the armor look like scale mail. Any thoughts?
